Guyana Zoo

Our trip to the Guyana Zoo on February 23 was an interesting one. Samantha and I both can’t stand seeing the animals caged, and this zoo, in particular, didn’t do a good job with providing space for the animals to roam, run, or swim.

There was a poor little otter, in some sort of exercise pool, that swam on the diagonal. Everything looked so sad and smelled badly. Funny thing, the zoo was on such wonderful, green grounds. All that empty space, and all those animals in tight cages.

Here is the otter in its swimming hole.

We have no idea what kind of animal this is.

That’s a sloth hanging there.
